The vehicle body is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving. These loads are mainly caused by weight transfer through the body during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to significant body flex and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex while driving through corners can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace has 2 mounting points and is designed to increase body rigidity at the mounting position.
