The chassis or bodywork of a car is subjected to the greatest loads during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes increased chassis flex or bodywork deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can also cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing interior chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects and increase chassis rigidity.
