The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant chassis loads, body flex and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and body deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The upper strut brace helps further connect the mounting points and limit such movement.
This version has 3 mounting points and is intended for the front of the vehicle. Compatibility is limited to versions without a door switch: BMW Z4 E85 2.5/3.0 Roadster and BMW E86 Z4 3.0 Coupe.
