The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. High loads occur mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or intensive acceleration.

In certain situations, the transfer of mass when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in substantial deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
