The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of body mass.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant chassis twisting and flexing, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation while driving through corners can cause poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace helps reduce unwanted deformation of the front lower section of the chassis.
