The vehicle chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, especially due to the transfer of the vehicle body’s mass when driving quickly through corners, braking hard or accelerating sharply.
When driving through a corner, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to 3 times more load than the other. This causes the chassis to twist and the bodywork to deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce these loads and increase chassis stiffness.
