The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flex, body deformation and torsional loads, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This chassis brace is designed to reduce such body deformation.
