A car’s chassis is the part most affected by the driver’s driving style. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant bending, deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects.
