Racingline carbon fibre rear body brace for Audi A3/S3/RS3 8V and RS3 8Y Sportback

Racingline rear body brace for the Audi A3, S3 and RS3 8V Sportback and RS3 8Y Sportback combines substantial machined aluminium brackets with exceptionally rigid carbon fibre link bars. The brace strengthens the rear section of the chassis at one of its weaker points and provides more precise and confident handling without affecting comfort.

How it works

Vehicles on the modern MQB platform have a laser-welded body that is particularly rigid at the front, especially between the upper suspension mounting points. At the rear, chassis flex is noticeably greater. When tackling corners quickly or using stiffer aftermarket suspension, this can cause the geometry of the rear suspension to change, reducing the vehicle’s responsiveness. For the same reason, Volkswagen fitted a factory rear brace to the limited-edition Golf Clubsport S.

The Racingline rear body brace connects the rear suspension towers and important mounting points. This preserves the stability of the body, allowing the suspension to work precisely as it was designed to. The result is sharper turn-in, more consistent grip through corners and a firmer, more stable feel during dynamic driving.

Simple and reversible installation

The brace is mounted to the existing body mounting points, so drilling and removal of the interior trim are not required. Installation is fully reversible, allowing the vehicle to be returned to its standard condition later without difficulty. It is compatible with the rear seats raised, folded or completely removed, so the interior remains usable.

Product VWR8130S3 is intended for Audi A3, S3 and RS3 8V Sportback models (3- and 5-door versions) and the Audi RS3 8Y Sportback. It is not suitable for 4-door saloon versions.
