The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, hard braking and sharp acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, deformation and body twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects and improve body stiffness.
