The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, as well as body deformation and torsional twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This chassis brace is designed to reduce such deformation and improve body rigidity.
