The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the car, as it is affected by the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes considerable body flex and deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. Ultra-Racing lower side floor braces help increase body stiffness and limit body flex.
