During fast driving, the vehicle chassis is exposed to significant loads, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes chassis flex and body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing 2-point rear torsion bar helps further connect and reinforce the chassis around the rear axle.
