Ultra Racing fender bars are designed to increase body stiffness around the fenders and reduce unwanted body flex during dynamic driving.
The car body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads due to driving conditions. This is especially noticeable when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, deformation and torsional twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
