A car’s chassis is subjected to high loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to considerable body flex and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps improve the rigidity of this area.
