The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during sporty driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
