The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flexing, deformation and torsional twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects in Chevrolet Aveo (T250) 1.5 2WD facelift vehicles manufactured between 2005 and 2011.
