A car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes considerable chassis twisting, deformation and torsional loads on the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to provide additional stiffness to the front lower section of the chassis.
