When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
