A car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other side. This leads to significant chassis twisting or body deformation and torsion, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support for this area of the bodywork. It attaches to 2 mounting points.
