The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis to flex or the body to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause unwanted driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
