Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace for Honda Civic VIII Sedan FD

The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in greater bending and twisting of the chassis, or deformation of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.

Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
