The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the chassis to bend, twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when driving through a corner can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This front lower brace helps to further connect and stiffen the lower section of the chassis.
