The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle body transfers weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in pronounced chassis twisting and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
