Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace for Kia Pride I (Y)

The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads due to driving style. This is particularly evident when the body’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flex, or deformation and torsion of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.

Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
