The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to provide additional support for the front lower section of the chassis and reduce these undesirable movements.
