The car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When weight is transferred through a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This causes greater twisting or deformation of the chassis and bodywork, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this part of the bodywork.
- Design: front lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
