The vehicle bodywork is among the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, the transfer of body mass affects the chassis.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the chassis to bend and twist, or the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area of the bodywork.
