The car chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and flexing of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This front lower brace further connects the chassis mounting points and helps improve the rigidity of the front end of the vehicle.
- Number of mounting points: 4
Suitable for: Mazda MX 5 I (NA) / II (NB).
