The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in high loads, chassis flex and body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points at the front of the vehicle and reduce unwanted chassis movement.
