During fast driving, intensive braking and hard acceleration, the vehicle’s chassis is subjected to heavy loads. These are mainly caused by the transfer of bodywork weight.
When cornering quickly, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This can cause the chassis to twist and the bodywork to deform, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting while cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace additionally connects the mounting points and helps reduce flexing of the front part of the bodywork.
