The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, especially due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in greater chassis deformation and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower brace helps increase chassis stiffness in the mounting area.
