The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable when the vehicle’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant chassis flex, as well as body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps further connect and reinforce the vehicle’s structure.
