The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in considerable chassis flex, as well as deformation and torsional twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional connection and reinforcement of the front section of the chassis on Mitsubishi Outlander III vehicles with a 2.4 engine. It is suitable for both 2WD and 4WD versions.
