A car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This places heavy loads on the chassis and causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps limit such deformation.
