A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce these loads and improve the rigidity of the front lower section of the chassis.
