Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace for Smart Forfour I (W454)

The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When driving through a corner, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.

Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.

The brace is designed to reduce these loads and improve the rigidity of the front section of the chassis.
