The vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can cause considerable chassis flex or body deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
