The vehicle chassis is one of the components subjected to the greatest loads during driving. It is particularly exposed to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This causes significant chassis twisting or deformation and torsional loads on the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This front lower chassis brace uses 4 mounting points.
