The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and intensive acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support to this area of the bodywork.
