A vehicle’s chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving. These are mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can cause forces up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes significant bending and twisting of the chassis, or deformation of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. This four-point front lower brace helps further connect the suspension mounting points and increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
- Design: front lower chassis brace
- Number of mounting points: 4
Suitable for: Toyota Highlander II (ASU40).
