The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in pronounced chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps reduce unwanted body flex.
