The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in greater chassis deformation and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps increase the stiffness of the front lower section of the chassis.
