The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is high loads, chassis flex and body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
