The vehicle bodywork is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant twisting and deformation of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the bodywork while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
Ultra Racing’s brace helps connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and limit unwanted bodywork twisting.
