The car body is among the vehicle components subjected to the greatest loads. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This results in increased twisting and bending of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. This front strut brace connects the mounting points at the front of the vehicle and helps increase body stiffness.
