The car’s body is subjected to the greatest loads during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to twisting and deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the body during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase body rigidity around the mounting points of the front dampers.
