The vehicle body is the part exposed to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intensive acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of weight during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant twisting and deformation of the body, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the body during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these effects by additionally connecting the upper mounting points of the front dampers.
- Design: front upper strut brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
- Limitation: only for 2.4 FSI 4WD, 3.0 TFSI 4WD, 3.2 FSI 4WD and 4.2 FSI 4WD engines
Suitable for: Audi A6 III (C6).
