When driving quickly through corners, braking hard and accelerating, the vehicle body is subjected to heavy loads due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater loads on the body, body flex and loss of tyre grip.
Body flex when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps further connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and reduce this effect.
