When driving quickly through corners, braking hard and accelerating, the vehicle body is subjected to high loads caused by weight transfer. When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side.
These forces cause the body to flex and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip. The front upper strut brace connects the mounting points at the top of the front dampers and helps reduce body flex and undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
